We blind taste tested a lot of butters for our shortbread, including some European imports. Luckily for us, Kate's Homemade Butter, a small family owned Maine producer, won hands down. Kate's Homemade Butter is the 2006 World Dairy Expo Dairy Champion in the Salted Butter category!

As Mainers we eat our lobsters with butter and lemon, so it only seemed fitting to give our "lobster" shortbread a tangy lemon glaze. Each shortbread is 5 ½ inches long, is a very generous one person serving, and is packaged in a charming blue and white checked box.

All Lucky Lobster Cookies shipped from March 12 through March 20th will have jelly beans on them unless you request otherwise (which you can do in the comments section of the order form).
