for our Four Layer Chocolate Peppermint Cake!!
We are so pleased and flattered to have been recognized in Yankee Magazine's November/December issue as their "Editor's Choice Award Winner" in the Baked Goods category. Yankee's picky editors chose their favorite artisanal New England foods, and chose our cake! They said: "... we're wowed by their four-layer cakes, like this tower of rich chocolate sandwiched with layers of peppermint frosting and sprinkled with crushed peppermint candies -- a perfect holiday centerpiece."
Our Rich Chocolate cake with luscious Peppermint filling and frosting! Each cake includes a packet of crushed Peppermint to use on your cake or serving plate for a festive holiday flourish.
We use the same family whoopie pie recipe to create rich, decadent 4-Layer Gourmet Whoopie Pie Cakes. Included is a side car of frosting. The reason behind the side car of frosting: When mom made this at home, she made extra frosting to give us a spoonful so that we would keep our fingers off the cake. Thanks mom! Our 6" Round Chocolate Peppermint Whoopie Pie Cake serves 10.
All cakes are baked and flash frozen - they will need to thaw in the refrigerator overnight, or at least 2 hours at room temperature, before serving. When ordering cake, please allow an extra 24 hours to be prepared.
